CHARLES CUNLIFFE
BARITONE

Hi, I’m Charles Cunliffe, a British baritone with a passion for storytelling through music. My musical journey began as a chorister at Peterborough Cathedral and later as a choral scholar, experiences that ignited my love for the union of text and music. I went on to study at the Royal  Academy of Music, completing both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees before joining the Opera School.

Since graduating, I’ve been fortunate to perform Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro and Kuligin in Káťa Kabanová, both as part of the 2025 Glyndebourne Festival, where I was also a Jerwood Young  Artist. On the concert stage, I’ve had the privilege of performing at Wigmore Hall, the Oxford Lieder Festival, and in premieres of contemporary works.
